The history of Veuve Devienne
starts in France

The history of Veuve Devienne starts in France, in Alsace, one of our famous wine-growing regions.

We are proud to uphold the brand’s cultural heritage and values in the major aspects of the French ‘art de vivre’: fine cuisine, art, culture, and elegance.

Our oenologists select the best grape varieties of the Mediterranean and the Val de Loire to create these unique sparkling wines.

The secret of our craftsmanship: The Charmat
Method

Since 1909, the culture of wine has been part of our DNA and our hearts.

The secret of our craftsmanship?

  • THE CAREFULLY MAINTAINED PROCESS
of the Charmat Method, named after our founder Eugène Charmat, an oenologist engineer.
  • A NATURAL SECOND FERMENTATION
That’s one of our hacks: we don’t add any carbon dioxide - our yeast makes natural bubbles in tanks specifically designed for this purpose!

  • CAREFUL SELECTION
Our oenologists excel in the meticulous selection of grapes and base wines for each cuvée's profile.

After blending, sugars and yeast are added to give our wines a natural sparkle.

After fermentation, the wines are filtered, and then go through dosage - the final touch before being bottled.
